FREE fitness classes are another value of YMCA membership. There are various levels of classes to suit your needs and fitness goals. Fitness classes are complimentary to members unless otherwise noted.

Adult Fitness (Kids 8 years+ with parent participation welcome)
Ab Blast
Strengthen your core muscles and improve posture. It’s the perfect feel-good class!
Ballet Burn
Build long, lean muscles and firm your whole body. This class is taught by a professional ballet dancer/instructor.
Boogie Line Dance
If you love to dance and burn calories, this line dance aerobic workout is for you.
Boot Camp
Get in tiptop shape as our instructor leads you through a series of military drills.
Cardio Kickboxing
Kick it up in this high-energy class that includes kickboxing techniques, basic punches and combo drills set to today’s music.
Cardio Sculpt
Get a moderate-to-high progressive cardio/weight interval aerobic training.
Hip Hop
Enjoy a variety of cardio jam-style classes that blend the latest dance moves to make you sweat.
Indoor Cycling
Whether you’re a beginner, recreational cyclist or serious racer, this class on cutting-edge indoor stationary bikes provides an excellent workout with no joint impact. Check the schedule for specialty cycling classes.
Martial Explosion
Improve overall fitness using modern martial arts methods such as impact training on bags, striking, kicking drills and self-defense combinations. Gloves or hand wraps recommended. Youth (8-12 years) may attend with a parent.
Mix It Up
Enjoy a traditional floor workout, step aerobics and muscle toning with weights.
Pilates
Optimize your strength, endurance, flexibility and posture through core conditioning in this mat-based class.
Prop-O-Lates
Workout with a variety of props, balls and therabands in this mat-based Pilates class.
Pump It
Build strength and endurance while toning up. You’ll use free weights, weighted bars, stability balls and step platforms.
Running Class
If you’re in training, want more cardio, are searching for a running partner or want to take your experience and love of running to the road, this class is for you. Maps are available.
Step It Out
Experience a cardio dance/step class offering a high/low impact cardio workout with high/low intensity on a platform step.
Tai Chi
Improve your relaxation, circulation, balance and coordination while discovering your inner peace.
Ultimate Body Burn
Tone and build muscle in this full-body class that uses free weights, body bars, mats and steps.
Vinyassa Yoga
Experience a high sweat, level 2-3 power flow yoga class. New participants are welcome.
Yoga
Practice traditional poses, sun salutations, stretches and relaxation techniques. Class may include power/strength training focused on total body toning, increased flexibility and range of motion.
Zumba Gold Express
Work it in this hot new dance class taught by a certified zumba instructor.
Family & Teen Fitness
Family Boot Camp
Enjoy a fun family workout with upbeat music, simple drills and lots of variety.
Family Kickbox
Get an aerobic workout through basic kickboxing. May include bag work; gloves not required.
Family Streetbeat
Every member of your family, regardless of age or fitness level, will benefit from this cardiovascular workout that includes simple hip-hop moves choreographed to today’s music.
Family Tai Chi
Bring your kids (ages 6+) and gain improved coordination.
Family Yoga
Your family can practice yoga poses, gentle stretching and relaxation together.
Hip Hop for Kids (6-12 years)
Kids learn street beat, hip hop and break dance moves.
Mikel′s YMCA Dance Academy
Your dancer will receive training in ballet, tap, jazz, hip hop and combo. Dancers can join the dance team and perform at events. Call 592-8747 for details. Registration required.
When: Tuesdays, 9-9:30 a.m. (18 months-2 ½ years)
Tuesdays, 9:30 to 10 a.m. (preschool 3-5 years)
Tuesdays, 4 to 5 p.m. (5-6 years)

Teen Strength Training & Conditioning (13-17 years)
Your teen will learn fundamentals of strength training, cardiovascular fitness, flexibility, basic nutrition, muscle anatomy and body awareness.
When: Four-week session begins first Wednesday monthly at 4 p.m.
Cost: $41 monthly
YMCA Iron Kids (7-13 years)
Youth bike, run and swim like triathletes in training in this program designed for all skill levels.
When: Begins first Monday of the month and runs Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays
Cost: $109 monthly
